2022 Geyserville Zinfandel
Rated 95 points by Jeb Dunnuck, this blend of 67% Zinfandel, 20% Carignane, 10% Petite Sirah, and 3% Mataro is organically grown and rooted in tradition, first produced in 1966. The grapes come from three adjacent vineyards on a unique Russian River soil type rich in river stone and gravel. Deep ruby in color, it offers aromas of black cherry, dark plum, sarsaparilla, baking spices, toasted oak, and lavender, with bold red cherry and raspberry flavors, subtle tannins, and natural acidity for a long, pleasant finish.
2022 Lytton Springs Zinfandel
This blend of 67% Zinfandel, 19% Petite Sirah, 11% Carignane, and 3% Alicante Bouschetoriginates from the historic Lytton Springs vineyard, first made by Ridge in 1972. The vineyard, planted to Zinfandel and complementary varietals, was once part of a single property owned by “Captain” William Litton in the 1870s. It features a complex nose of boysenberry, cigar box, anise, and sage, with a full-bodied palate of plum, blackberry, mineral, pepper, and dark chocolate, complemented by well-coated tannins and balanced acidity.
